The Scottish Highland Games

The Highland games are a sporting tradition in Scotland that celebrates Scottish and Celtic culture. Some of the games are well-known as symbols of Scotland, such as the playing of the bagpipes, wearing traditional clothing like the kilt, and the physically demanding events.

The origins of the games and their events are older than modern history.
